Beth and Nick | Sandhurst Wedding

Sandhurst wedding

Beth and Nick had the most stunning wedding day swathed in buckets of glorious mid July sunshine. It was a day full of sun, smiles, laughter and military uniforms as their Sandhurst wedding ceremony was followed by their reception at the West Court Officer’s Mess. I’d never been to either of these places before, but they made for quite the back drop to Beth and Nick’s gorgeous wedding day.

I met up with Beth, her bridesmaids and Beth’s mother for a super fun relaxed morning while everyone got ready for the day. It was loads of fun working with Sarah, who did the ladies gorgeous make up while Michelle was on hair duties, and everyone looked fantastic, especially Beth, of course, who was wearing her mothers wedding veil too.

Beth and Nick got married in the Sandhurst Royal Memorial Chapel which is such a grand building, so big, it even has a few TV screens for those at the back! Beth and Nick were greeted with a military guard of honour and walked underneath swords, and groomsmen’s umbrella’s, out into the sunshine.

After some photos in the gorgeous Sandhurst grounds, we headed off to the Officer’s Mess where everyone enjoyed the relaxed surroundings of this great historical building while enjoying the summer Pimm’s. Speeches are one of my favourite parts of a wedding day and these were of a very high standard too. Special mention must go to Beth’s sister Nicola though, whose words to both Beth and Nick were both full of wisdom and were hilarious too! Oh, and for those who are thinking of cutting a wedding cake any time soon, see if you can beat cutting it with a sword!

Thanks for inviting me to share your day with you guys, and I wish you very many years of happiness together!
