Beth and Nick’s wedding yesterday was spectacular! They got married at the Sandhurst Royal Military Academy and it looked majestic in the sunshine. More photos to follow soon, Congratulations Beth and Nick!!
On a super hot July day bathed in glorious sunshine, Bronwyn and James got married at the Old Marylebone Town Hall and invited me to photograph their amazing London wedding day. As soon as I met Bronwyn and James a couple of months earlier, I knew that this was a wedding I’d love to photograph. Their plans for the day sounded very cool; they chose to get married at the Old Marylebone Town Hall due to James’ love of The Beatles and to follow in the footsteps of Paul and Ringo who also got married there. The Marylebone wedding was to be followed by a reception with their close friends at The Coach Makers pub, which James promised would have a soundtrack full of Beatles and Stones.
Told you it sounded cool!
I started off with Bronwyn and her friends at The Mandeville Hotel in Mayfair and it was great to work with make up artist Elena and Sinead and Kieran of Bright Star Films, who were capturing the day on film, how exciting!
This wasn’t your traditional Groom-waiting-at-the-registry-office day either as James came to pick Bronwyn up in a black cab. This was really great fun and I think you’ll see by the photos, was full of laughter. It was also great privilege to ride with the bride and groom on the way to the ceremony, that opportunity doesn’t happen too often!
Following the ceremony and confetti throwing on the steps of the Old Town Hall, we headed for some photos on the streets around Marylebone and also to the Queen Mary Gardens in Regents Park, where the gorgeous gardens full of roses were in full bloom. Bronwyn and James were planning on releasing their heart shaped balloons later in the day, however, we had an earlier than expected release-of-the-balloons ceremony, but they still looked great against the gorgeous clear blue sky.
After we jumped back in a black cab to The Coach Makers, the day was full of lots more laughter, drinking, dancing and eating. Including a delicious chocolate cake made by Bronwyn and James’ friend Gary. It was such a fantastic summers day London wedding and James wasn’t wrong, the soundtrack to the day was amazing.
Congratulations Bronwyn and James!
