James & Fanny | Manor House Wedding | Castle Combe

James and Fanny’s Manor House wedding was just the most fun and relaxed day. It was a big fun party in a the most stunning countryside venue. And after spending the day there, the Manor House in Castle Combe may just be one of my favourite venues after this wedding! It has so much character and hidden places to discover and the gardens are just beautiful. And don’t get me started on the food. Wow.

So I met Fanny and James through a close friend of mine, Bob, who was James’ Best Man. At the start of the day, I was unsure of whether I was photographing a wedding or Bob’s own modelling shoot. He certainly wasn’t scared of the camera. And the distraction allowed James to get on and put the finishing touches to his speech!

After the ceremony and either side of the speeches and food (did I tell you how good the food was?), we had such a great afternoon outside on the Manor House lawns where there were drinks flowing and garden games a plenty and a potentially world record breaking Jenga game. Look out for the photos of the climax, I put quite some time into waiting for this! 🙂

Congratulations Fanny and James and thank you for letting me share your day with you.

Sally | Islington Shoot

So, I normally love to photograph weddings. Right?! Well, sometimes something comes along that sounds so cool, I just can’t say no!

So when Sally asked me if I could take a few photos of her for her SHOP Magazine job, I jumped at the chance!

Last Saturday, after Sally got her hair looking all fab at Harrington’s in Soho, Sally and Jen (our Artistic Director / location scout / oncoming car alerter / my wife) and I went to North London for a cool Islington shoot in the sunshine. After a nice catch up over a drink, we hit the streets in search of cool stuff!

I absolutely LOVE this area of London. Ever since I photographed Holly and Phil’s wedding earlier this year, I have become ever so slightly obsessed with the place. There are so many cool side streets, textures, brick walls, and don’t get me started on garage doors!

This is the type of photography setting that I absolutely love. Urban. London. Natural lighting. Colours. Textures. The city buzz. People stopping and looking in the street. It was so so much fun.

Thanks to Sally for being so great on the day, we must do this again some time!

Oh and what a cool dress too! Sorry ladies, if you want to know where this one is from, it’s a vintage one, so you’ll have to ask Sal if you can borrow it!
