2012 was the most fantastic, stunning, hectic, amazing, incredible year! Far too much to go into here, but it was a perfect end to the year celebrating Christmas with family in Switzerland.

Going back to where the photography obsession started is always great fun. Also trying to decide which is better here; winter or summer, is also a very fortunate question to be able to try and answer. I can never decide!

The winter months cover the peaks in brilliant white snow and when the skies are clear, there is arguably no better sight than seeing those big blue skies and awe-inspiring mountains.

The only bad bit of the whole trip is always the journey back down the mountain. It never fails to give us a depressed feeling, but then the diaries come out and we start to plan when we’ll be back.

This little corner of the world, Les Collons in the canton of Valais, is probably my favourite place in the world. Why? This is where we go to chill out, shut out the rest of the world for a week or so, breathe in that amazing fresh Swiss mountain air and think, can we live out here permanently?
